Our firm primarily works with petroleum refineries and chemical companies, providing them with complex air permitting and compliance support across the U.S. Our team includes nationally recognized experts who collaborate closely on projects. As a smaller specialty firm (~100 people), we foster a close-knit atmosphere where team members take on multiple responsibilities and grow rapidly. Most of our staff are based in Texas and Louisiana, but we have team members across the U.S. For this position, we are looking for the candidate to be based in Texas that can provide dynamic IT support to the organization. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of experience in IT administration, thrives in a cloud-first environment, and is comfortable pitching in across projects, from maintaining systems and implementing security protocols to supporting our AI team as we roll out new tools and automations. This is not a developer role, but a cloud systems-focused, hands-on position.

– Manage and support internal cloud systems including Microsoft 365, Deltek Vantagepoint, Google Platform Apps, and other collaboration tools.

– Oversee internal cloud app networking, enterprise system data flow, and security solutions.

– Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for escalated internal IT issues across Windows and Mac endpoints, servers, and cloud platforms.

– Administer internal SaaS applications, identity management and licensing.

– Support employee onboarding and off-boarding (accounts, hardware, access control).

– Lead and design corporate AI implementation to ensure systems remain secure, integrated, and efficient.

– Own patch management, endpoint protection, and device lifecycle management.

– Participate in and occasionally lead internal IT projects from system upgrades to automation and AI tool rollouts.

– Contribute to developing and enforcing internal IT policies and security protocols.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

– 5–10 years of IT administration experience in a cloud-first or professional services environment.

– Strong expertise in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

– Familiarity with AI systems administration or integration, comfortable supporting teams deploying AI tools (no development required).

– Experience managing hybrid cloud environments

– Strong networking knowledge (firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, SD-WAN).

– Experience with scripting and automation.

– Proven ability to manage systems, troubleshoot efficiently, and work independently.

– Strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams.

– Proactive and willing to pitch in where needed on cross-functional projects.
